Nina Schipoff

Nina Schipoff (CH/D) is an interdisciplinary artist based between Geneva and Sierre, working across video and sound installation, photography, and painting.

She holds a degree from the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD) and a postgraduate diploma from the Geneva School of Stage Design, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Art in Public Space + Sound at EDEAH in Sierre.

 

Her work explores the complex relationships between humanity and nature, particularly through the dimensions of space, time, memory, and sensitive perception. She seeks to reveal what is both visible and hidden: shifting landscapes, water and ice, forests, and mycelium become vectors through which the traces of our interactions with the environment—both tangible and invisible—take form.

Through her practice, Nina aims to recompose her relationship with the world, questioning the ecological and geopolitical impacts of the Anthropocene. She opens up sensitive spaces where a new conception of coexistence can emerge: finding ways of living together that acknowledge both human and non-human beings, where our interdependence becomes a source of meaning and transformation.
